Stubbie is a keepsake for your flights. The short version: your boarding passes, photos and trips live on your phone, your account holds only what is needed to run it, and we do not build a profile of you. This page explains what the app touches and why.
What Stubbie stores
- Boarding passes you scan. The route, flight number, date and seat read from a pass are stored on your device so they can become a trip card.
- Photos you choose. Stubbie can show photos from your library taken during a trip. They are read from your device and are not uploaded by Stubbie.
- Your collection and stats. Trips, routes and travel statistics are computed and kept on your device.
Your account
Stubbie asks you to create a free account when you first open the app. We store the details needed to run it: your sign-in identity (for example the email or Apple ID relay address you sign in with) and your subscription status. We do not use it for marketing unless you opt in.
Offline-first
Your collection works without an internet connection. If you delete the app, the data on the device is deleted with it. Keep a backup via your normal iPhone backup if you want to keep your collection.
Permissions we ask for
- Camera: only to scan a paper pass. No images from the camera are kept beyond the scan.
- Photo library: only to show the photos you pick for a trip.
- Apple Wallet / Files: only to import a pass you choose.
Each permission can be withdrawn at any time in iOS Settings.
Sharing a trip card
Sharing is something you start. When you send a trip card, only that card (an image) leaves your device, via the share sheet you choose.
Stubbie Pro
Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. Stubbie does not see your payment details. Purchases can be managed or cancelled in your Apple ID settings.
Analytics and tracking
Stubbie does not sell data and does not use advertising trackers. We may collect anonymous crash reports and basic usage counts to keep the app working; these cannot identify you and you can opt out in the app settings.
Your rights
Because your data is on your device, you are in control of it: export or delete it from within the app at any time. If you think Stubbie holds any data about you elsewhere, write to us and we will answer within 30 days.
The launch list
If you join the launch list on this site, we store the name and email you enter on our own server (hosted in Denmark) and use them for one thing: a mail when Stubbie launches, plus at most a couple of updates around it. Nothing is shared with anyone, and no ad or tracking tools are involved. Write to hi@stubbieapp.com any time to be taken off the list.
Contact
Questions about privacy: hi@stubbieapp.com, or use the contact form. Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to our inbox via Replied, a Danish service, and used only to answer you.
This policy describes the app as designed. If a future version adds an online feature (for example cloud sync), this page will be updated before it ships.
